Poison Lake - Part 2, Lassen County, 7/21/06
All of the below odes are male Lyre-tipped Spreadwing. I've seen Lyre-tipped at Poison Lake before but never in such numbers.

The lyre shape of the appendage is best seen in this picture.

The male Lyre-tipped Spreadwing has attractive green stripes on the thorax.

I began trying for pictures with flowered backgrounds. The damsels didn't actually land on the flowers, but in certain areas I was able to get flowers into the background of the photo.
