Lassen Volcanic National Park, Shasta County, 7/24/06
Took the day off work and hiked to Cliff Lake in Lassen Park. Saw two odes there, a female bluet and something small and dark (emerals/whiteface). Headed back down to the car and saw several odes along the trail. Those I was able to identify: American Emerald, Crimson-ringed/Belted Whiteface, Striped Meadowhawk, and (unexpectedly) Spot-winged Glider. Stopped briefly at Summit Lake, but the clouds came in and the mosquitos came out. Then headed to Lost Creek between the Devastated Area and Hot Rock, where there are some ponds and wetlands.
